We have hunted with and owned many great coonhounds over the last 48 years, some of them State and World Champions.
We have used this knowledge to give us our line breeding plan for now and for the future. We have been hunting and breeding LONE PINE tree dogs for 41 years and are dedicated to improve and hold on to the talent this long line of tree hounds possesses.
We have so many friends from over the years who have helped us get to this point. Space does not allow all, however, one was my Uncle Andrew Strang. He helped me purchase my first great dog, Lone Pine Toby. 41 years ago, Uncle Andy preached to be relentless and to never give up the search for tree dogs similar to Toby. Another friend we want to thank is Dale Montgomery. Dale is good with pups and he has a lot of knowledge when it comes to starting and finishing tree dogs.
Randy and I have been friends and partners for 20 years. Randy has that burning desire to be the best in everything that he does. Randy is a tireless hunter and a top dog trainer. We had been to the finals of the UKC World Hunt in Columbia City, Indiana, and won 2 casts, so Randy had Girl in the best physical shape possible to be able to win this hunt.
We were favored by some handlers to get to the Final Four this year because we placed First at the Zone 2 Semi-Finals in Pennsylvania (725+ Friday and 625+ Saturday). Randy is training a pup out of Girl that just might get us back to the UKC World Finals. My wife, Agnes, and Randy's wife, Carrie, and our families push us to be our best.
Our Lone Pine team of owners and handlers includes: Dale Montgomery, Jason Martin, Tom Keifner, Bill Hartman, Kevin Phillips, Greg Barnicle, Ed & Mike Kraushaar, Darren Deamer, John Brundege, Mike Berrenger, and my friend Stanley Duvall - the originator.
